The farmers of Thomas River

The local farming community is at the heart of the event. Farmers generously donate sheep, game and meat prizes, helping create the distinctive Thomas River hospitality that riders, runners and visitors remember long after race weekend.

02 Game donated Donated game becomes locally prepared meat products and prizes.

03 Local meat products Meat, biltong, droëwors and other products are sold from the Thomas River Meat Stall.

04 Meat prizes Farmers also contribute the popular meat prizes awarded during the event.

Every Meat Stall purchase supports the Conservancy. All proceeds from the Thomas River Meat Stall go to the Thomas River Conservancy and help support its conservation work and the continued preservation of the area.
